Temporal patterns in glyphosate and atrazine concentrations were measured weekly by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) during the 2013 growing season in 100 small streams in the Midwestern United States. Concentrations also were measured every 2 days at a subset of 8 of the sites, all located in Missouri. Glyphosate was detected more frequently in urban streams than in agricultural streams, and at concentrations similar to those in streams with high agricultural land use in the watershed. In contrast, atrazine was detected more frequently and at higher concentrations in agricultural streams than in urban streams. It is unclear whether DNA lysis buffers used for preservation of whole blood samples from Hawaiian forest birds cause denaturation and loss of antigen binding capability of antibody molecules. This data release contains cyanotoxin concentrations for microcystins, cylindrospermopsins, anatoxins, and saxitoxins assessed using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISA) on 363 samples collected from 82 surface-water sites located in the Cascade Range in Oregon, and eight sites located outside of the Oregon Cascade Range in Washington and California, during 2016-2020. Three sample types were assessed: 1) benthic colonies and mats of cyanobacteria (n=109), 2) plankton net tows (n=90), and 3) Solid Phase Adsorption Toxin Tracking samplers (SPATTs)(n=164).

From 2017-2019, the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center (UMESC) analyzed microcystin concentrations in samples collected from three different studies. The first study was on the movement and distribution of invasive carp (Bighead Carp, Silver Carp, Grass Carp) in the upper Mississippi River between lock and dam 16 and lock and dam 19.
