White shrimp (Litopenaeus setiferus) captured in trawl sampling by natural resource agencies of the Gulf States (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida) across U.S. Gulf of Mexico estuaries. This information is made possible through the Comparative Assessment of Gulf Estuarine ecoSystems (CAGES) database. The CAGES Relational Database is a compilation of fishery-independent data.

White shrimp (Litopenaeus setiferus) mean catch per unit effort (CPUE) averaged over a time period (2000-2007). All CPUE values for sample stations falling within a bay/estuarine were averaged. This data are the compilation of fishery-independent data collected by natural resource agencies of the Gulf States (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida). It is based on trawling samples and made available through the Comparative Assessment of Gulf Estuarine ecoSystems (CAGES) database.

Sampling effort (number of trawls) of brown shrimp (Farfantepenaeus aztecus), pink shrimp (Farfantepenaeus duorarum), white shrimp (Litopenaeus setiferus), Atlantic croaker (Micropogonias undulatus), gray triggerfish (Balistes capriscus), Gulf butterfish (Peprilus burti), lane snapper (Lutjanus synagris), red snapper (Lutjanus campechanus), sand seatrout (Cynoscion arenarius), silver seatrout (Cynoscion nothus), spot (Leiostomus xanthurus), and vermilion snapper (Rhomboplites aurorubens) by 10-minute longitude by latitude blocks summarized from 11,637 40-ft shrimp trawls taken during the Southeast Area Monitoring and Assessment Program (SEAMAP) fishery-independent Summer and Fall Shrimp/Groundfish Surveys from 1987...

In general, ChesMMAP is fishery-independent monitoring survey that uses a large-mesh bottom trawl to sample late juvenile-to-adult fishes in the mainstem of Chesapeake Bay. This program currently provides data on relative abundance, length, weight, sex ratio, maturity, age, and trophic interactions for several important fish species that inhabit the bay seasonally.

NEAMAP stands for NorthEast Area Monitoring and Assessment Program. NEAMAP was developed to meet the needs of fisheries management and stock assessment activities in the northeastern United States. NEAMAP began in 2006 with a fall pilot survey and in 2008 began conducting both a spring and fall survey. NEAMAP samples from Cape Cod, MA south to Cape Hatteras, NC and targets both juvenile and adult fishes. NEAMAP is an integrated, cooperative state/federal data collection program. Its mission is to facilitate the collection and dissemination of fishery-independent information obtained in the Northeast for use by state and federal fisheries management agencies, the fishing industry (commercial and recreational),...

Red snapper juvenile (primarily age 0 and 1), brown shrimp, pink shrimp, and white shrimp catch per unit effort (CPUE) and sampling effort by 10 minute longitude by latitude blocks are summarized from 11,637 40 foot trawls taken during SEAMAP Summer and Fall Shrimp/Bottomfish Surveys from 1987 to 2009. CPUE is expressed as the number caught per 1 hour tow and effort as the number of trawls.
