Point shapefile of Wind Turbine locations in Wyoming as of December 2010. Turbine location and attribute data extracted from the FAA Obstruction Evaluation Database (https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/portal.jsp). The FAA requires evaluation of any wind turbine (or structure) over 200ft. Therfore any wind turbine under 200ft would not be included in this data layer. In 2008 the FAA put a focus on wind turbines creating region categories specifically for wind turbines. With this, records for wind turbines before 2008 are less inclusive. The FAA database provides no determination of Wind Turbines that have been built and Wind Turbines that are still in planning stages. Therefore this layer includes Wind Turbines...

Point data source of the energy sources in the western United States. Contains no attribute information Calendar Date: 1/10/1996
This paper examines the air quality impact of using distributed generation (DG) to satisfy future growth in power demand in the South Coast Air Basin of Los Angeles, relative to the impact when the demand is met by expanding current central generation (CG) capacity. The impact of decreasing boiler emissions by capturing the waste heat from DGs is not examined. The air quality impacts of these two alternate scenarios are quantified in terms of hourly maximum ground-level and annually averaged primary NOx concentrations, which are estimated using AERMOD. This study focuses on the impact of primary emissions at source–receptor distances of tens of kilometers. We find that the shift to DGs has the potential for decreasing...
In many ways, the mountain west (Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming) is an energy colony for the rest of the United States: it is rich in energy resources that are extracted to fuel economic growth in the wealthier and more populous coastal regions. Federal agencies and global corporations often behave as if the mountain west is a place to be exploited or managed for the benefit of customers and consumers elsewhere. Yet, the area. is not vast empty space with a limitless supply of natural resources, but rather a fast-growing region with a diverse economic base dependent on a limited supply of water. New decision processes and collaborations are slowly changing this situation,...

The Commission regulates eleven natural gas utilities that provide retail gas service to Wyoming customers. These natural gas utilities range in size from relatively small companies serving only a couple hundred Wyoming customers to large, multi-state gas companies who have a Wyoming customer base of over 70,000 customers.

NOTE: RESTRICTED DATA. Contact the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for access http://deq.state.wy.us/wqd/. This database contains information on over 900 public water supplies in Wyoming, including location data (some locations collected with GPS), and enforcement and compliance tracking related to regulation compliance to the Safe Drinking Water Act. The database was compiled in dBase format, containing latitude and longitude fields which allows it to be easily converted by a GIS into a spatial database. It is currently distributed in ArcView shapefile and ARC/INFO coverage export format, though these versions may not be as up-to-date as the database in dBase format. Contact Wyoming's Dept. of Environmental...
