Maps of priority conservation areas were obtained for DOI and USFS protected lands, state wildlife action plans, SARP regional threat assessment maps, TNC ecoregional portfolios (see map on left), and others. Conservation status was assigned to NHD+ river segments. The Aquatic Conservation Area report to the SALCC documents attempts to designate a single set of priority areas from these resources (see link below). Due to inconsistencies in the objectives and methods used to designate priority areas among states and other groups, the effort was not successful for the SALCC. Another attempt will be made for the GCPLCC project.  For more detailed information, go to the SIFN page on the SARP website at http://www.southeastaquatics.net/sarps-programs/sifn
