In 2006-2007, Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) geologists traversed and collected rock samples from ridges on the north side of Granite Mountain in the Mount Hayes D-3 Quadrangle to supplement existing literature with additional details about the variations in texture, lithology and orientation of the 'Granite of Granite Mountain' (map unit grgm) described by Nokleberg and others (1992). The digital data files for this report provide station locations and observations recorded in the geologists' field notes. Outcrop observations describe fine- to medium-grained granodiorite and medium- to coarse-grained tonalite units which appear to be in contact with each other on the ridges north of...

Alaska Division of Oil and Gas personnel collected and interpreted various data sources related to the interpretation of the Base Tertiary unconformity surface in the Cook Inlet Basin, Alaska.Data sources included public literature, public well data information (from the AOGCC-Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission), a palynology database (Greater Cook Inlet Stratigraphic Palynology Control Database and Stud,Zippi, P.A., 2006) and over 2000 miles of 2D marine seismic data (CI-88 and CI-89 licensed from, and complements of, CGGVeritas.) Interpreted formation tops of the Base Tertiary unconformity are tabulated on the map.

Lake Poinsett is a 260-hectare (640 acres) lake located on Crowley’s Ridge in northeastern Arkansas, approximately 6 km southeast of Harrisburg, Arkansas within Poinsett County. The lake was built for recreation by the Arkansas Highway Department in 1960 by constructing a roughly 800-meter dam across the southern boundary of the Distress Creek watershed. The dam is currently operated by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC). AGFC and Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (ANRC) plan to drain the lake to allow access for a series of bank stabilization and dam safety improvements. Because none of the original blueprints exist, AGFC asked the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to conduct a series of differential...

These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) and depth-averaged velocities in ASCII format, generated from hydrographic and velocimetric surveys of the Missouri River near Structure G0069 on Missouri State Highway 240 at Glasgow, Missouri, in 2011, 2013, and 2017. Hydrographic data were collected using a high-resolution multibeam echosounder mapping system (MBMS), which consists of a multibeam echosounder (MBES) and an inertial navigation system (INS) mounted on a marine survey vessel. Data were collected as the vessel traversed the river along planned survey lines distributed throughout the reach. Data collection software integrated and stored the depth data from the MBES and the horizontal and...
These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) and depth-averaged velocities in ASCII format, generated from hydrographic and velocimetric surveys of the Mississippi River near structure A5054 on Interstate 72 at Hannibal, Missouri, in 2014 and 2018. The Alaska Resource Data File (ARDF) is a subset of the National Mineral Resource Data System (MRDS) that has been specifically re-formatted and re-designed to better meet the needs of the local user community.
Some of the NOS rasters intentionally do not align or have the same extent. These rasters were not snapped to a common raster per the authors' discretion. Please review selected rasters prior to use. These varying alignments are a result of the use of differing source data sets and all products derived from them. We recommend that users snap or align rasters as best suits their own projects. - As a final measure of potential human impacts to the ecoregions, the impacts of current anthropogenic development are summarized in a 60 x 60 m grid by the landscape condition model (LCM). The LCM weights the relative influence of different types of human footprints based on factors like permanence, nature of the activity,...

Landscape condition should not be assessed at a particular location without some explicit consideration of the surrounding environment. Landscape intactness provides a quantifiable and readily assessable measure of naturalness: it is a measure of how contiguous a landscape is. The purpose of this dataset is to provide an assessment of the relative landscape condition across a region to identify if the areas with degraded conditions are isolated or connected, which corresponds to how resilient an area might be to future changes. Some elements of human modification, specifically subsistence harvest, are not captured well in current models of intactness. Therefore, we modeled landscape intactness by extracting areas...
This dataset represents recreation sites extracted from Utah BLM FAMS. Utah BLM data extracted from the Facilities Asset Management System (FAMS). This dataset contains administrative and recreation related assets, including campgrounds, trail heads, etc. For more information about FAMS, see this website: http://web.blm.gov/lrpo/fams/index.html

The measurement of cumulative impacts has become increasingly emphasized both...
