What are current conditions for important park natural resources? What are the critical data and knowledge gaps? What are some of the factors that are influencing park resource conditions? Natural Resource Condition Assessments (NRCAs) evaluate and report on the above for a subset of important natural resources in national park units (hereafter, parks). Focal study resources and indicators are selected on a park-by-park basis, guided by use of structured resource assessment and reporting frameworks. Following an explosion at the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig on April 20, 2010, MC252 an estimated 3.19 million barrels of oil leaked into the Northern Gulf of Mexico over 87 days. The endangered Kemp's ridley sea turtle (Lepidochelys kempii [Lk]) has a long established record of using the area near the well as primary foraging grounds. Resulting short- and long-term negative impacts of the oil spill on sea turtles could induce changes in the health and fitness of the Lk population. This report summarizes the results of a three-year investigation of terrestrial habitat connectivity priorities for the South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (South Atlantic LCC). Our primary objective was to generate results that could be used to drive fine‐scaled conservation planning to enhance habitat connectivity across the South Atlantic LCC. The project focused on seven target species, including large mammals (black bear, red wolf, Florida panther/eastern cougar) and a group of terrestrial reptiles (eastern diamondback rattlesnake, timber rattlesnake, pine snake, and box turtle). The data also include information on the individual snake, the year of observation, and whether the individual had moved from its previous location to allow for correlation of the data within individuals and locations

Data were collected in association with locations of standard brown treesnake traps on Guam at location prior to suppression or control efforts and after control had occurred. In all cases study sites were closed or semi-closed populations of brown treesnakes. Habitat data focused on type and structure of the habitat within 10-m of the trap.
