The Southeast Aquatic Resource Partnership will direct development of science-based instream flow information for water resource managers and policy makers of the SALCC. The outcome of this project will help inform water resource managers and policy makers about flow requirements of streams, rivers, and estuaries of the SALCC region. It will also identify critical information gaps that must be filled to reduce the uncertainty of streamflow requirements for aquatic ecosystems used by state and federal agencies to protect water resources. Further, the results of this project will include assessments of the likely impacts of climate change to the region’s aquatic resources.

Data set includes a mosaic of multiple Landsat 8 OLI sensor path/row combinations for May 14, 17, and 19, 2014 covering the South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (SALCC) geography between extreme northeastern North Carolina (including Back Bay, VA-NC) south through Sapelo I., GA. The imagery was acquired as georeferenced, calibrated digital data. The South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (SALCC) project area supports a wide variety of critical estuarine and marine habitats. However, the existing maps of these resources were created at different scales and are housed in a variety of locations. This can be challenging for users and limits their utility for a regional approach to analysis. Managers and scientists are working together in a new project to understand and optimally manage conservation lands along the Atlanta and Mississippi Flyways to support continental populations of waterbirds. Ecosystems of the southeastern United States face a large number of threats to their ecological integrity, including loss of habitat, climate change, exotic species invasion, and many more. NatureServe staff, in conjunction with the South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (SALCC), have compiled this report in order to better understand how these threats impact ecosystems and the level of impact to these ecosystems, thereby addressing a key information need identified by the SALCC. This project involved developing a new design for the South Atlantic LCC website (including development of new code and graphics/images as needed) and designing a factsheet template, an online newsletter template, a powerpoint template, and small info cards based on the modern website redesign. The project initially specified the Ning 3.0 platform, which changed to WordPress when Ning stopped supporting upgrades to Version 3.0.
