This geospatially explicit vector-based polygon dataset identifies 85 terrestrial ecological subsection delineations present in Southeast Alaska and the Tongass National Forest. Within each subsection one can expect to find a relatively consistent occurence and distribution of vegetation types. Due to the hydrologically-influenced geomorphology of Southeast Alaska specific key indicators of physiography, lithology, and surface geology were employed to systematically distinguish terrestrial ecosystems.

This digital elevation model (DEM) for the Northern Atlantic Coastal Plain (NACP) from Long Island New York to northeastern North Carolina represents the elevation of the topographic and bathymetric surface at a uniform horizontal grid spacing of 100 feet and vertical units of 1 (integer) foot. This tabular data set represents the percent of physiographic provinces compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data is the "Physiographic divisions of the conterminous U.
