The Geospatial Multi-Agency Coordination Group, or GeoMAC, is an internet-based mapping tool originally designed for fire managers to access online maps of current wildland fire locations and perimeters in the continental United States, including Alaska. Perimeters are submitted to GeoMAC by the incidents via posting to FTP and web sites for downloading. This file contains wildland fire perimeters submitted to GeoMAC from the year 2000 to the calendar year preceeding the current one. The projection is geographic and the datum is NAD83. Last updated January 20, 2011, SPW. Additional metadata available at: http://rmgsc.cr.usgs.gov/outgoing/GeoMAC/historic_fire_data/us_hist_fire_perimeters_dd83_METADATA.htm

GeoMAC (Geospatial Multi-Agency Coordination) download fire perimeter data. The Geospatial Multi-Agency Coordination or GeoMAC, is an internet-based mapping application originally designed for fire managers to access online maps of current fire locations and perimeters in the United States. Using a standard web browser, fire personnel can view this information to pinpoint the affected areas. With the growing concern of western wildland fires in the summer of 2000, this application also became available to the public.

This dataset contains boundary polygons from 59 wetlands, that were monitored as part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Amphibian Research and Monitoring Initiative (ARMI) from Saint Marks National Wildlife Refuge (SMNWR). These sites covered a range of sizes, shapes, topographic and vegetative characteristics that were deemed to be representative of wetlands within the study area. Ground-based surveys of wetland perimeters were made using a Trimble R8 Real Time Kinematic Global Positioning System (RTK-GPS). Surveys generally followed the lowest extent of saw palmetto (Serenoa repens), which is a reliable indicator of the upper limits (elevation) of sustained inundation. In instances where palmetto was absent,...
