This layer shows the results for initial analyses of the ' Connectivity' potential Conservation Target for the Freshwater Forested Wetlands Priority Resource (PR). Three datasets were used in this exploration of Connectivity: CLIP 4.0 Greenways, CLIP 4.0 Landscape Integrity, and the Local Connectedness layer, one of the core datasets in the Nature Conservancy's Resiliency Project. Each dataset provides a slightly different aspect of Connectivity. Each one of the potential data layers was masked using the PR raster to result in a spatial data layer of values within Freshwater Forested Wetlands. Two datasets were used in this exploration of Connectivity: CLIP 4.0 Greenways, and the Local Connectedness layer, one of the core datasets in the Nature Conservancy's Resiliency Project. This data set shows PFLCC's Freshwater Forested Wetland Priority Resource along with amphibian species taken from the 2011 Atlas of Reptiles and Amphibians (FWC) which shows occurrence records based on FWC data. Sensitive Species were selected (based on the Masters Thesis of J. Surdick, Jr, 2005 (University of Florida) that determined amphibian species.

This project entails creation and refinement of the conservation targets for the terrestrial Priority Resources for the Peninsular Florida Landscape Conservation Cooperative. Potential Conservation Targets were developed through stakeholder Workshops held throughout the State of Florida in 2016/2017. Lists of potential CTs were generated through brainstorming and general discussion and stakeholders ranked the final list for suitability for using as a measure of Priority Resource health. The resulting list of potential CTs for the Freshwater Forested Wetlands Priority Resource were explored and the results were presented to the Freshwater Forested Wetlands team. This data set shows the portion of PFLCC's Priority Resource: Freshwater Forested Wetlands that is currently labelled as 'Verified Impaired Water Body' by the State of Florida DEP. Because it takes so much data and time to remove a body from the Verified Impaired List, this data set will not be used as a Conservation Target to indicate water quality within Freshwater Forested Wetlands. PFLCC Staff are seeking additional data sources that could provide that information.

This layer shows the results for aninitial analysis of the Connectivity potential Conservation Target for the Freshwater Forested Wetlands Priority Resource (PR) using the CLIP 4.0 Landscape Integrity layer. CLIP 4.0 Landscape Integrity Layer The Landscape Integrity layer comprises an average of two related landscape indices that assess ecological integrity based on 1) land use intensity and 2) patch size of natural communities and semi-natural land uses. The land use intensity index characterizes the intensity of land use based on five general categories, ranging from natural to high intensity development. This layer shows the land covers included in the PFLCC's Priority Resource (PR), Freshwater Forested Wetlands. Freshwater Forested Wetlands land covers were extracted from CLC v. 3.2. As a PR, the included land covers were further refined using CLIP 4.0 Aggregated Model, Priorities 1 and 2. The Aggregated Priorities model, which combines conservation priorities from the Biodiversity, Landscapes, and Surface Waters Resource Priority models, and the underlying CLIP Core Data layers. Priorities range from 1 (highest priority) to 5 (lowest). Florida Natural Areas Inventory and the University of Florida Center for Landscape Conservation Planning.
