Airborne electromagnetic (AEM), magnetic, and radiometric data were acquired November 2018 to February 2019 along 16,816 line-kilometers (line-km) over the Mississippi Alluvial Plain (MAP). Data were acquired by CGG Canada Services, Ltd. with three different helicopter-borne sensors: the CGG Canada Services, Ltd. Resolve frequency-domain AEM instrument that is used to map subsurface geologic structure at depths up to 100 meters, depending on the subsurface resistivity; a Scintrex CS-3 cesium vapor magnetometer that detects changes in deep (hundreds of meters to kilometers) geologic structure based on variations in the magnetic properties of different formations; and a Radiation Solutions RS-500 spectrometer that...

Airborne geophysical surveys were conducted in the eastern Adirondacks from Dec. 7, 2015 - Dec. 21, 2015, by Goldak Airborne Surveys. The area was flown along a draped surface with a nominal survey height above ground of 200 meters. The flight line spacing was 250 meters for traverse lines and 2500 meters for control lines. Here we present downloadable magnetic and radiometric (gamma spectrometry) data from those surveys as image (Geotiff) and flight line data (csv format). Background The Eastern Adirondacks region was known for iron mining in the 1800's and 1900's but it also contains deposits of rare earth minerals. Rare earth minerals are used in advanced technology such as in cell phones, rechargeable batteries...

This publication provides digital flight line data for a high-resolution horizontal magnetic gradient and radiometric survey over an area of southeast Missouri and western Illinois. The survey represents the first airborne geophysical survey conducted as part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Mapping Resource Initiative (Earth MRI) effort (Day, 2019). Earth MRI is a cooperative effort between the USGS, the Association of American State Geologists, and other Federal, State, and private sector organizations to improve our knowledge of the geologic framework of the United States. Data for this survey were collected by Terraquest, Ltd. under contract with the USGS using a fixed wing aircraft with magnetometers...

The 'Pearce Project: Texas Instruments Report' file is part of the Grover Heinrichs mining collection. Grover was the Vice President of Heinrichs GEOEXploration, located in Tucson, Arizona. The collection contains over 1,400 folders including economic geology reports, maps, photos, correspondence, drill logs and other related materials. The focus of much of the information is on the western United States, particularly Arizona, but the collection also includes files on mining activity throughout the United States, foreign countries, and 82 mineral commodities.

Airborne magnetic gradiometry data are provided here as part of the data release, "Airborne magnetic and radiometric survey, Charleston, South Carolina and surrounds, 2019." This data release includes the processed aeromagnetic horizontal gradiometry flight line data provided in an ascii .csv file and a geoTIFF image showing the magnetic intensity in nanoTeslas (nT). The contractor report and deliverables package are available on the parent page, https://doi.org/10.5066/P9EWQ08L. These data were collected as part of a high-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric survey over Charleston, South Carolina and the surrounding region with a goal of better understanding earthquake hazards in the Charleston seismic...

This publication provides digital flight line data for a high-resolution magnetic and radiometric survey over an area of northwest Arkansas. The airborne geophysical survey was jointly funded by the USGS National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program and the Earth Mapping Resource Initiative and was designed to meet the complimentary needs related to geologic mapping and mineral resource research. The survey covers an irregular area 225 by 110 kilometer over the transition between the Ouachita and Ozarks Plateau physiographic provinces and includes 67,614 line-kilometers of magnetic and radiometric data. Data were collected from a fixed-wing aircraft flown at mean terrain clearance of 167 meters (m) above topography...

This data release provides digital flight line data for a high-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric survey over Charleston, South Carolina and the surrounding region. These data were collected to better understand earthquake hazards in the Charleston seismic zone by imaging structural features in the crystalline basement and to image heavy mineral sands containing titanium, zirconium, and rare earth elements using radiometric data (gamma spectrometry), which is sensitive to thorium in monazite. This survey represents a collaborative effort by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earthquake Hazards Program, Mineral Resources Program, National Cooperative Mapping Program, and Earth Mapping Resource Initiative...

This data release includes estimates of potassium (K), equivalent uranium (eU), and equivalent thorium (eTh) for the conterminous United States derived from the U.S. Geological Survey's national airborne radiometric data compilation (Duval and others, 2005). Airborne gamma ray spectrometry (AGRS) measures the gamma-rays that are emitted from naturally occurring radioactive isotopes found in rocks and soil, the most abundant of which are potassium (K40), uranium (U238), and thorium (Th232). Radiometric data can aid in exploration of critical mineral resources, including deposits of barium, fluorine, titanium, beryllium, niobium, rare-earth elements, and uranium. There is also growing interest in using radiometric...
