Real-time PCR results of a round robin evaluation of 5 assays that target dreissenid mussel DNA. Water samples collected from waters with and without dreissenid mussels were analyzed using these five assays in four USGS laboratories. Samples from waters without dreissenid mussels were spiked with known amounts of dreissend DNA.
Boat-mounted acoustic doppler current profilers (ADCPs) were used to collect velocity data on the Columbia River in a small area near Northport, WA. Velocity surveys were collected during two surveys at high-flow, high-stage conditions in May 2018. Bathymetric data were also collected during one of the surveys using a single-beam echo-sounder. The datasets here provide 1) raw ADCP and single-beam survey data, 2) processed summaries of the data, primarily in geospatial data formats, and 3) summary visualizations of transect-averaged velocity and depth characteristics of the surveyed reach.
This data release provides access to a low-altitude, aeromagnetic survey of a part of central Washington, an area that includes the city of Wenatchee and the towns of Entiat, Chelan, and Leavenworth. The Wenatchee aeromagnetic survey extends westward from the Columbia Plateau to the Cascade Range, and covers a part of the Columbia River and Lake Chelan. The survey was conducted between October 17 and December 5, 2011, by Firefly Aviation Ltd., working under contract to the U.S. Geological Survey. Total magnetic field values were acquired using a fixed-wing aircraft flown at a target elevation of 150 m above terrain and along flight lines and tie lines spaced 400 m and 4000 m apart, respectively. Flight lines were...
