Habitat Condition for Imperiled Species is one of a suite of products from the Nature’s Network project (naturesnetwork.org). Nature’s Network is a collaborative effort to identify shared priorities for conservation in the Northeast, considering the value of fish and wildlife species and the natural areas they inhabit. This product represents a regional network of habitats critical for sustaining populations of imperiled species, currently based on over 600 Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN).A number of additional datasets that augment or complement Habitat Condition for Imperiled Species, including Core Habitat for Imperiled Species, are also available in the Nature’s Network gallery. A detailed technical...

Habitat Importance for Imperiled Species is one of a suite of products from the Nature’s Network project. Nature’s Network is a collaborative effort to identify shared priorities for conservation in the Northeast, considering the value of fish and wildlife species and the natural areas they inhabit. Important Habitats are a group of critical terrestrial and aquatic habitats for imperiled species. The dataset was created by studying the overlap of 600 Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) and their documented occurrences (from tens of thousands of data points) with terrestrial and aquatic habitats mapped by The Nature Conservancy and UMASS. *NOTE - The download of this data also includes Habitat Condition...

This raster represents a binary prediction of distribution (present/absent) for the species based on inductive modeling of environmental suitability. WYNDD defines the distribution of a species as the fine-scale environments within its range that are suitable for occupation. A common modeling algorithm, Maxent (Phillips et al., 2004), was used to generate predictive distribution models for Wyoming's Species of Greatest Conservation Need. The resulting models were clipped to the species' respective ranges (Keinath et al., 2010). References: Keinath, D.A., M.D. Andersen and G.P. Beauvais. (2010). This dataset is part of a suite of models depicting the predicted distribution of Arizona's wildlife species. These species distribution models were created to represent the historic, present, and potential distribution for an individual species. A specific set of parameters were used for each species distribution model including vegetation associations, elevational associations, slope associations, and known occurrences. All of the species distribution models were edited and reviewed by Department biologists before they became finalized. The species distribution models were created using the best available data at the time, and will be updated as data becomes available in the future.

Core Habitat for Imperiled Species is one of a suite of products from the Nature’s Network project (naturesnetwork.org). Nature’s Network is a collaborative effort to identify shared priorities for conservation in the Northeast, considering the value of fish and wildlife species and the natural areas they inhabit. This product represents a regional network of the most intact of habitats estimated to be most important for sustaining populations of imperiled species, currently based on over 600 Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN).A number of additional datasets that augment or complement Core Habitat for Imperiled Species, including Habitat Condition for Imperiled Species (the more extensive dataset from...
