These GIS data contain stream reaches that were identified as habitat areas for the Columbia River Chum Salmon (CMCOL) Evolutionarily Significant Unit (ESU).WOPR (Western Oregon Plan Revision) PRMP (Proposed Resource Management Plan) Chum Salmon Columbia River CHART (Critical Habitat Analytical Review Teams) PCE (Primary Constituent Elements) This data is a PRMP release version of the data fsh_aa_a_chum_chart_arc. These data were used in the critical habitat analysis conducted by National Marine Fisheries Service's Critical Habitat Analytical Review Teams. The analysis was conducted as part of the rule making process for critical habitat. Critical habitat for CMCOL salmon is defined in National Marine Fisheries...

1:100K Distribution of Oregon Anadromous Salmon and Steelhead habitat obtained from ODFW for use in the Western Oregon Plan Revision (WOPR) Proposed Resource Management Plan (PRMP). These data describe areas of suitable habitat believed to be used (currently and historically) by wild, natural, and/or hatchery fish populations. The term "currently" is defined as within the past five reproductive cycles. See the 'USETYPE' field description to differentiate between current and historic distribution. This information is based on extensive surveys, the best professional judgment of ODFW staff biologists and where possible, the professional opinions of staff from other natural resource agencies. Due to natural variations...

These data identify, in general, the areas where final critical habitat for the Fender's blue butterfly (Icaricia icarioides fenderi) occur within the WOPR (Western Oregon Plan Revision) boundary.BLM: (Bureau of Land Management) USFWS: (US Fish and Wildlife Service) WOPR: (Western Oregon Plan Revision) PRMP: (Proposed Resource Management Plan) CHU: (Critical Habitat Unit) These data are intended to be used as a guide to identify the general areas where final critical habitat for the Fender's blue butterfly occur. Specific identity of critical habitat should be obtained from the text of the final designation of critical habitat for the Fender's blue butterfly published in: Federal Register, October 31, 2006, vol....

The geographic distribution of stream reaches with potential to support high quality habitat for salmonids has bearing on the actual status of habitats and populations over broad spatial extents. As part of the Coastal Landscape Analysis and Modeling Study (CLAMS), we examined how salmon-habitat potential was distributed relative to current and future (+100 years) landscape characteristics in the Coastal Province of Oregon, USA. The intrinsic potential to provide high-quality rearing habitat was modeled for juvenile coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) and juvenile steelhead (O. mykiss) based on stream flow, valley constraint, and stream gradient. See Supplemental Information for additional detail. BLM (Bureau of...

This theme shows the two conservation recovery zones for Marbled Murrelet (Brachyramphus marmoratus) that fall within the WOPR boundary. The first zone comprises the area from the coast to a line mirroring the coast thirty-five miles inland, north of a line running due east from North Bend, Oregon. The second zone comprises the area from the coast to a line mirroring the coast thirty-five miles inland, south of a line running due east of North Bend, Oregon. This dataset has been "clipped" to the WOPR boundary for Alternative analysis.BLM: (Bureau of Land Management) WOPR: (Western Oregon Plan Revision) PRMP: (Proposed Resource Management Plan) Conservation Zones Description: Six conservation zones were designated...

Northern Spotted Owl habitat within Western Oregon. When the simple age class of a tree stand proved not to be sufficient in determining spotted owl habitat, BLM district biologists returned to the field during the 1991 field season and revisited all 60,000 Operations Inventory timber stand units in Western Oregon. They classified each stand as a 1, 2, or 3, depending on the type of owl activity present, and added that to the Micro*Storms Operations Inventory database. In November, 1991, that information was used to create this new theme from the Forest Operations Inventory spatial theme. In March 1993, this theme was revised to include a 4th category, that land that -due to its nature- could never be developed...
