The 2008 - Present Ecosystem History of South Florida's Estuaries Database contains listings of all sites (modern and core) and modern monitoring site survey information (water chemistry, floral and faunal data, etc.). Two general types of data are contained within this database: 1) Modern Field Data and 2) Core data - location information. Data are available for modern sites (from 2008 to present) and cores in the general areas of Florida Bay, Biscayne Bay, and the southwest (Florida) coastal mangrove estuaries. Specific sites in the Florida Bay area include Taylor Creek, Bob Allen Key, Russell Bank, Pass Key, Whipray Basin, Rankin Bight, park Key, and Mud Creek core). Specific Biscayne Bay sites include Manatee...

The drilling project at Owens Lake commenced in April,1991. This Open-File Report represents an effort to makeavailable to other researchers our preliminary datacollected during the first year of study followingcompletion of the core-drilling phase. Nineteen datacollections and preliminary interpretations are presentedin the following sections. They are the work of fifteenfirst-authors and their numerous co-authors. Broadly, their topics include a field log of the core(1 contribution), sedimentological analyses (1), clay-mineral identification (1), geochemical analyses (5),dating and age estimates of the cored sediments (4), andidentifications of fossil materials (7).

The 1995 - 2007 Ecosystem History of South Florida's Estuaries Database contains listings of all sites (modern and core), modern monitoring site survey information (water chemistry, floral and faunal data, bottom type, etc.), and published core data. Two general types of data are contained within this database: 1) Modern Field Data (1995-2007) and 2) Core data - primarily faunal assemblages. Data are available for modern sites and cores in the general areas of Florida Bay, Biscayne Bay, and the southwest (Florida) coastal mangrove estuaries. Specific sites in the Florida Bay area include Taylor Creek, Bob Allen Key, Russell Bank, Pass Key, Whipray Basin, Rankin Bight, park Key, and Mud Creek core). Specific Biscayne...

The data contained in this report represent our preliminary findingsof the analyses of two cores of Pliocene and early Pleistocenesediments from the eastern Great Basin. This is a collaborativeproject involving specialists from the USGS, Kansas State University, and the University of California-Davis in paleontology (Thompson,Buchner, Forester, Bradbury), stratigraphy and sedimentology (Oviatt,Kelsey, Bracht), and paleomagnetism and environmental magnetism(Roberts).

The Arctic Ostracode Database provides species census data for about100 species of benthic marine Ostracoda from modern surface and lateQuaternary sediments from various parts of the Arctic Ocean andadjacent seas. Ostracodes are a microfossil group of bivalvedCrustacea that secrete a calcareous shell commonly preserved insediments in the Arctic region. Because many ostracode species haveecological limits controlled by temperature, salinity, oxygen, foodand other factors, they can provide an important tool forpaleoceanographic reconstruction in the Arctic. Some recentapplications of ostracodes to understanding Arctic Ocean historyinclude Briggs (1983), Reimnitz et al. (1983, 1992), McDougall etal. (1986), Clark et...
