The UWRM proposal represents the uplands wildlands network in the Heart of the West Proposal. Utah_Wyoming Rocky Mountains Ecoregion (UWRM) core areas and linkages shapefile. This GIS dataset provides core areas and linkages that includes all the components of a three track approach (special elements, representation, and focal species) used during the planning process. This is the result of a study contract by The Nature Conservancy to design an ecoregional plan for Northern Utah, Western Wyoming, Southeastern Idaho, Northwest Colorado and South-central Montana. The study was developed in 2001 by Reed Noss, George Wuerthner, Ken Vance-Borland, and Carlos Carroll from Conservation Science, Inc.

BLM ACECs were clipped to the ecoregion boundary and queried for all ACECs with outstandingly remarkable scenic values.

Land Use Plan (LUP) boundaries for the Greater Sage-Grouse (GRSG) National Planning Effort in the Great Basin Region. Modifications were incorporated (see below) based on clarification on the correct boundaries to use from BLM planners. Additionally, definitions for EISs each LUP is included in for the Sage-grouse effort were added. Acreage calculations for each LUP as well as each full EIS were provided. EIS definitions were approved by BLM Planners on 7/19/12.Note that individual RMPs that are subsets of other RMPs are designated as "part of xxxx RMP". Contains land classification areas defined by the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) for the Adirondack Park, New York State. Edits have been made for webmapping. The attributes for the Canoe Area have been changed to the ESRI ArcGIS color name: Violet Dust, and for the Historic areas: Purple Heart.
