Capture, GPS-collar tagging, and release of cougars was conducted in northern Arizona and southern Utah and Nevada, USA, from 2003 to 2013 by the U.S. Geological Survey and the National Park Service (Northern Arizona University IACUC Protocol # 02-082-R4), resulting in GPS-tracking and monitoring of study animal activities. This data set includes six individuals that met three criteria: 1) few missing data (≥ 85% fix success rate), 2) long periods of continuous monitoring, with a minimum of 1000 observations, and 3) established home range with no evidence of dispersal. It includes four females (C04, AS02, P26, and C07) and two males (Z04 and AS07), ranging in age from 1.5 – 4 years in age. Two females (C04 and AS02)...
Low-altitude (30-120 meters above ground level) digital images of Town Neck Beach in Sandwich, Massachusetts, were obtained with a series of cameras mounted on small unmanned aerial systems (UAS, also known as a drone). Imagery was collected at close to low tide on five days to observe changes in beach and dune morphology. The images were geolocated by using the single-frequency geographic positioning system aboard the UAS. Ground control points (GCPs) were established by using temporary targets on the ground, which were located by using a real-time kinematic global navigation satellite system (RTK-GNSS) base station and rovers. The GCPs can be used as constraints during photogrammetric processing. Transect points...
NOTE: RESTRICTED DATA. Contact the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for access http://deq.state.wy.us/wqd/. This database contains information on over 900 public water supplies in Wyoming, including location data (some locations collected with GPS), and enforcement and compliance tracking related to regulation compliance to the Safe Drinking Water Act. The database was compiled in dBase format, containing latitude and longitude fields which allows it to be easily converted by a GIS into a spatial database. It is currently distributed in ArcView shapefile and ARC/INFO coverage export format, though these versions may not be as up-to-date as the database in dBase format. This is a terrestrial LiDAR laser scanner dataset collected on October 14, 2020, in response to a flow event that occurred on September 8, 2020, at the USGS streamgage 09471580 - San Pedro River at St David, AZ. The reach scanned for this study is located at the bridge where State Route 80 crosses the waterway. A Leica MS-60 Multistation was used for the laser scanner data collection. Multiple scans were combined by setting up the scanner using resection techniques coupled with Leica RTK - GPS equipment. All scan data are corrected using measurements of a reference mark with a known location.
