This website includes the processed aeromagnetic data provided in an ascii .csv file and a geoTIFF image showing the anomalous magnetic field. The contractor report is available on the parent page. Data for this survey were collected and processed by Sander Geophysics under contract with the USGS as part of the Earth Mapping Resources Initiative (Earth MRI) using a fixed wing aircraft with a magnetometer mounted in a tail stinger and a fully calibrated gamma ray spectrometer, data were collected along northwest-southeast flight lines spaced 250 meters (m) apart...

Photogrammetric digital surface models and orthoimagery for the continuous coastline, Wales to Platinum, Alaska, segment C: Nome to Elim

Aerial photographs of the coastline from Nome to Elim were collected on August 23, 2015. The photographs were processed using Structure-from-Motion (SfM) photogrammetric techniques. Global Positioning System (GPS) checkpoints were collected via a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) survey conducted between August 15 and September 14, 2015. For the purposes of open access to elevation and orthoimagery datasets in coastal regions of Alaska, this collection is being released as a Raw Data File with an open end-user license. The CAGES program (Comparative Assessment of Gulf Estuarine Systems) is designed to examine the differences between estuarine ecosystems and investigate why some are more productive than others. The program focuses on estuarine areas important to commercial fisheries and includes data on commercial finfish and invertebrate species, as well as other species commonly captured in trawl sampling. This data release provides digital flight line data for a high-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric survey over parts of northern Maine. The airborne data collection was funded by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Mapping Resource Initiative (Earth MRI) with goals of better understanding volcanogenic massive sulfide mineral deposits, sediment hosted manganese deposits, and their surrounding geologic framework.
