This dataset contains effluent-discharge data, in cubic feet per second, for the Santa Cruz location at the Outfall of the Nogales International Wastewater Treatment Plant (SC6, 312724110580501). The data were collected by personnel at the U.S. International Boundary and Water Commission using a pipeline flow meter. The data were recorded at a 30 minute interval for the period of 2012 to 2014 and a 15-minute for the period January 1, 2016 to October 31, 2016. Data were checked for erroneous data and were deleted from the record. The data were reported to USGS for the period of Water Year 2012–2016. Data collection, along with hydraulic and fluvial egg transport modeling, were completed along a 70.9-mile reach of the Ohio River between Markland Locks and Dam and McAlpine Locks and Dam. Data were collected during two surveys: October 27–November 4, 2016, and June 26–29, 2017. Water-quality data collected in this reach included surface measurements and vertical profiles of water temperature, specific conductance, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, relative chlorophyll, and relative phycocyanin. Problem - The valley-fill deposits in Upper Buttermilk Creek/Danby Creek valleys are sources of water for many homeowners, farms, and small businesses that are in this valley. The aquifer was mapped by Miller (2000) and identified as one of the 17 aquifers in Tompkins County that needs to be studied in more detail. However, there is little geohydrologic data in the valley. A cluster of wells in Upper Buttermilk valley are finished in sand and gravel, indicating that there is a sand and gravel aquifer in, at least, part of the valley. The Upper Buttermilk Creek/Danby Creek valleys are "through valleys"-- a part of a valley where the bedrock floor rose to land surface and formed a preglacial surface-water divide....
The dataset is comprised of river conditions at La Grange, Peoria, Starved Rock, Marseilles, and Dresden Island Locks and Dams, along the Illinois River. Data were recorded bihourly from 1 Jan 1985 – 31 Dec 2016. For each location, pool elevation (ft), tailwater elevation (ft), head height (ft; calculated by the difference between pool elevation and tailwater elevation), discharge (cfs; when available) and total gate openness (sum of all open gates in ft), are given, where available. Open river conditions were calculated (0 = closed, 1 = open) for each two hour time period. Dam openness was assessed using the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers thresholds for open river conditions at each location.

These data were created as part of a hydrologic study to characterize groundwater budgets and water quality in the Diamond Valley Flow System (DVFS), central Nevada. This dataset represents the groundwater discharge area (GDA) in the DVFS. Vegetated areas within the GDA are composed of phreatophytic shrubs with smaller areas of grassland, marshland, xeric vegetation, bare soil, and agricultural lands where phreatophytic shrubs historically were present. Vegetated areas outside the GDA are primarily composed of xeric vegetation and bare soil although very sparse phreatophytic shrubs may be present on the outer margins of the boundary. These data were compiled to model the effects of flow regime and bed grain size distributions on rates of gross primary production (GPP) in the Colorado River below Glen Canyon Dam, AZ, USA. The objectives of our study were to quantify daily and weekly scale effects of an experimental flow regime on GPP in the Colorado River. The experimental flow was conducted at Glen Canyon Dam from May-August in 2018, 2019, and 2020 and contrasted steady-low flows on weekend days with business-as-usual hydropeaking flows during weekdays. Wavelet analysis is a powerful tool with which to analyse the hydrologic effects of dam construction and operation on river systems. Using continuous records of instantaneous discharge from the Lees Ferry gauging station and records of daily mean discharge from upstream tributaries, we conducted wavelet analyses of the hydrologic structure of the Colorado River in Grand Canyon. The Long-Term Resource Monitoring element (LTRM) of the Upper Mississippi River Restoration program (UMRR) has conducted aquatic vegetation and water quality surveys in several navigation pools since the mid 1990’s. Over a 20-year period (1998-2017), the off-channel (i.e. backwater) areas in upper Pool 4 remained chronically turbid and supported a limited submersed macrophyte community with high between-year variability in the proportion of sites where submersed plants were observed. The U.S. Geological Survey collected thermal image time series from five rivers in Alaska September 18–20, 2016, to support research on remote sensing of river discharge.
