These are the boundaries of current Land Use Plans. Represents the spatial extent and boundaries for existing BLM Land Use Planning Area (LUPA) polygons. Land Use Planning Areas are geographic areas within which the BLM will make decisions during a land use planning effort. Land Use Planning Area Boundaries shift from an "in-progress" status and become Existing Land Use Planning Areas when the Land Use Plan has been approvided and a Record of Decision Date has been established. At this point, these LUPAs are officially "existing".

These layers represents relative landscape connectivity in the Middle Rockies Ecoregion of the United States. It was developed as part of the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Rapid Ecological Assessment (REA) of this region. Connectivity is defined as the percent of unfragmented landscape (percent area of similar habitat) in a 1 km neighborhood based on ReGAP or GAP land cover data. Values <15% are classified as ‘Low’ connectivity, values of 15-30% are classified as ‘Fair’ connectivity, and values >30% are classified as ‘Good’ connectivity.

This polygon feature class represents the final spatial extent and boundaries of the BLM Fire History Perimeter: Final Perimeters symbolized by decade. The data is used for vegetation analysis such as habitat suitability, vegetation types and succession. Fire History can be used for current strategy and tactics on fires, fuels management, making forecasts for fire planning, analysis of vegetation and for stabilization and rehabilitation activities after fire. There are internal and external reporting requirements on burned acreage on a daily and annual basis. This will also provide timely updates for public web-services.
