Historical Spawning Sites for Lake Whitefish (Coregonus clupeaformis) and Cisco (Coregonus artedi) in Lake Erie and Connecting Channels, 1850-1960
Coordinate locations for historical spawning locations of Lake Whitefish (Coregonus clupeaformis) and Cisco (Coregonus artedi) were summarized using ArcGIS 10.5. There were 30 sites for Cisco and 78 sites for Lake Whitefish documented across the Lake Erie basin, including the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair, and the St. Clair River. Data came from published and unpublished sources cited in the Goodyear et al. Spawning Atlas (1982). Locations described as having the presence of eggs or spawning fish were included in the table.

Simulated dispersal of exotic rainbow smelt (Osmerus mordax) in a northern Wisconsin lake district and implications for management
To investigate the contemporary distribution of lake whitefish spawning and over-winter egg survival within western Lake Erie, potential spawning locations were sampled for eggs from 2016 to 2018. Eggs were collected using a 39-kg iron sled attached to a diaphragm pump towed for 2 - 5 minutes. The data describe the number, date of collection, and exact collection location of Lake Whitefish fish eggs collected in the western basin of Lake Erie from 2016-2018.

Larval Fish Abundance, Identification, and Auxiliary Data from the Great Lakes and Their Connecting Channels
This dataset contains data collected on various vessel operations on the Great Lakes and their connecting channels, primarily the St. Clair River, Lake St. Clair, Detroit River, and western Lake Erie, although other locations have been sampled and included in this dataset. This dataset contains the field variables, environmental conditions, larval catches (numbers), larval fish identifications, and associated auxiliary information with the sampling locations.
