This dataset was developed for the Oregon Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Strategy during 2005 to help identify priority areas for conservation actions that directly benefit wildlife and habitats. The Conservation Strategy focuses on habitat restoration and maintenance to address the needs of game and nongame species, highlighting specific actions that can be performed where the chances of success are greatest. As part of this strategy, in-depth documents on species and habitats were developed for all ecoregions within Oregon. Conservation Opportunity Areas were developed for the Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Strategy to help identify priority areas for conservation actions that directly benefit wildlife and habitats. These are areas in which conservation actions would best meet the needs of Strategy species and habitats.
