This dataset presents current and future change agent models and combined future potential for change (PFC) within mountain lion potentially suitable habitat. The mountain lion potentially suitable habitat extent was determined using the SWReGAP Vertebrate Habitat Distribution Models for the mountain lion clipped to the study area for the SLV-TP Landscape Assessment. This dataset presents current and future change agent models and combined future potential for change (PFC). Potential for change (PFC) was determined by calculating the maximum potential for change among all change agents within each 1 km reporting unit. Current and future landscape intactness (LCM_C_FZ and LCM_N_FZ) are based on measures of landscape...

Current density of invasive species, insects, and disease within KM grid cell reporting units for the San Luis Valley - Taos Plateau Study Area. Attribute IID_C_CAT1 is valued along a scale of low current density (1) to high current density (4). This dataset is the result of a fuzzy model that integrates currently known and potential occurrences of invasive speices and forest insect pests and diseases. Data from a variety of sources were included, including LANDFIRE Existing Vegetation Types, LANDFIRE Succession Classes, SWReGAP Landcover Types, SLV weed management polygons, and U.S. Forest Service Forest Health survey areas.

Future Potential for Wildfire was summarized from the U.S. Forest Service Wildland Fire Potential (WFP) map to characterize the future spread of wildfire. The attribute wfp_fz is symbolized to represent the future potential for wildfire in one of five categories ranging from very low to very high. About the U.S. Forest Service Wildland Fire Potential (WFP) Map:The wildland fire potential (WFP) map is a raster geospatial product produced by the USDA Forest Service Fire Modeling Institute (http://www.firelab.org/fmi/data-products/229-wildland-fire-potential-wfp) that is intended to be used in analyses of wildfire risk or hazardous fuels prioritization at large landscapes (100s of square miles) up through regional or...

Current fire occurrence was modeled from a logic model to characterize the potential occurrence of wildfire. The attribute Fire_C_Fz is symbolized to represent the current potential occurrence of wildfire in one of five categories ranging from very low to very high. Historic fire occurrence data were obtained from a number of sources including GEOMAC, BLM, and USGS.

Near-term future invasive species, insects, and disease potential distribution model, summarized to 1KM grid cell reporting units for the San Luis Valley - Taos Plateau Study Area. Attribute IID_N_CAT1 is valued along a scale of low potential future distribution to high potential future distribution. The results are based on Landscape Assessment modeling efforts to characterize the potential future risk of invasion by exotic species and forest insect pests and diseases.

This dataset provides an estimate of near-term future (i.e., 2025-2030) human development intensity in the San Luis Valley - Taos Plateau study area. It is the result of a fuzzy model that integrates numerous human land use datasets along an intensity index. Input datatsets include roads, urban areas, agriculture, grazing, NASA city lights, and NLCD impervious surfaces. The attribute DEV_N_FZ is used to symbolize near-term future human development intensity. This model is identical to the near-term future ecological landscape condition model. Please refer to landscape condition model documentation for details on model development.
