The dataset contains 6 columns of data collected during line transect surveys (Line) that evaluated bait cartridge efficacy for Brown Treesnake control on Guam. Two-person teams recorded all bait cartridges observed while walking the center line of transects in the Habitat Management Unit (HMU). Perpendicular distance (DIST (m)) to cartridges from center line was measured to the nearest 0.005 meters.

Data set resulting from monitoring the behavior of snakes (n = 62) that had been feed a standardized large meal with transmitter, proportional to their body mass, to make direct comparisons to a control group of snakes that had not been fed a meal (only the transmitter). Transmitters were equipped with a two-position switch that changes pulse rate when the body position of the animal changes more than 10 degrees from the switch's preset orientation. Changes in pulse rate serve as a proxy measurement for snake activity, under the logic that a relatively stationary/sedentary snake would cause the transmitter to tip less frequently that an actively moving/foraging snake would. The experiment took place in the U.S....

In this dataset offspring are assigned to a dam and sire using information from single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) from previously published pedigree reassignments of Brown Treesnakes within the U.S. Geological Survey's Brown Treesnake study enclosure on Northwest Field of Andersen Air Force Base, Guam (Levine and Yackel Adams 2021 and Nafus 2021) to update the overall pedigree dataset for snakes (2009-2018). Genomic pedigree reconstruction can assign offspring to parents in invasive species for which mating, and reproduction are difficult to study.
Exogenous and endogenous factors influence invasive reptile movement at multiple scales, 2018 - 2019
These data reflect movement values for brown treesnakes from Guam that were translocated (moved by humans) to new locations or were resident (left in place) on Guam. The data are related to the specimen's treatment group, individual values, locations and other details affiliated with radio telemetry based acquisition and positional changes by the individual snakes across tracking events. The data were collected to help inform early detection and rapid response efforts for brown treesnakes in the Mariana Islands.

This file describes three datasets used to evaluate individual traits in brown treesnakes and how they affect susceptibility to toxicant applications. This file references three data sets that include 'Guam GROUND', SURVTOX', and 'HMU NWFN TRT.' Guam GROUND reference to snakes encountered during visual surveys on Guam and whether they were located on the ground or arboreal. SURVTOX refers to a known fate study of telemetered snakes that either survived or died during an application of toxic baits. HMU NWFN TRT refers to the demography of snakes captured pre and post-toxicant treatment.
