This file contains the polygon SDE Feature Class for Federal Fluid Minerals(Oil and Gas) for the Bureau of Land Management(BLM)Montana/Dakotas. Federal Fluid Minerals as well as Federal Lease status and Indian Minerals/Leases are included. Plat maps are used to find federal mineral ownership and the Bureau of Land Management's LR2000 database is used to find current leasing status.
Areas of Critical Environmental Concern (ACECs), Research Natural Areas (RNAs), and Outstanding Natural Areas (ONAs) of Idaho
ACECs are areas where special management is needed to protect important historical, cultural, or scenic values, fish and wildlife resources, or other natural systems or processes, or to identify areas hazardous to human life and property. Criteria for ACECs can be found at: BLM Manual 1613 and 43 CFR 1610.7-2(b). RNAs are areas where natural processes are allowed to predominate and which is preserved for the primary purposes of research and education. Under current BLM policy, RNAs must meet the relevance and importance criteria of ACECs and are designated as ACECs. Criteria for RNAs can be found at: BLM Manual 1613 and 43 CFR 1610.7-2(b). Wilderness for Idaho BLM (polygons) To show the BLM Idaho Wilderness boundaries. This feature class includes the six wilderness areas in Owyhee County that were created after President Obama signed the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 on March 30, 2009. This Wilderness feature class went through the Idaho BLM Data Validation/9167 process and was signed off by the Wilderness Data Steward (R. Fehlau) on April 15, 2009. This feature class schema meets the Idaho BLM Wilderness GIS Data Standards dated October 25, 2005.
The Interagency Vegetation Mapping Project (IVMP) provides maps of existing vegetation, canopy cover, size, and cover type for the entire range of the Northern Spotted Owl using satellite imagery from the Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM). This area is commonly called the FEMAT area, in reference to the area's analysis by the Forest Ecosystem Management Assessment Team. A regression modeling approach was used to predict vegetation characteristics from this Landsat data. NWFP-20 - Northwest Forest Plan Effectiveness Monitoring (20-Year Report)Estimated completion June 2015This project is a continuation of research completed for the 15-year Report for NWFP Effectiveness Monitoring. We are continuing to develop and refine modeling techniques and data, to provide improved multi-date GNN maps of forest vegetation and older forest. Appropriate Management Levels of BLM Wild Horse Herd Management Areas and USFS Wild Horse and Burro Territories
A polygon feature class representing the spatial extent and boundaries for BLM Wild Horse and Burro Herd Management Areas (HMAs) and Herd Areas (HAs), along with USFS Wild Horse and Burro Territories (WHBTs). HMAs and WHBTs are color coded to represent whether they are within Appropriate Management Level (AML), Greater than 100% and less than 200% of AML, and greater than 200% of AML. HAs do not have associated AML values, and are colored grey.
This file contains data for riparian areas in the state of Idaho. The data for the Challis Field Office area was derived from Idaho GAP data by selecting all vegetation classes considered to fall under riparian area. This dataset has not been verified. The purpose of this data is to identify riparian areas for the state of Idaho. The data for the Challis Field Office was intended for use in analysis as part of the BLM Challis Phase I Fire Management Planning process.
