The digital geologic map database can be queried in many waysto produce a variety of derivative geologic maps.

Geologic data from the geologic map of the Spokane 1:100,000-scale quadrangle compiled by Joseph (1990) were entered into a geographic information system (GIS) as part of a larger effort to create regional digital geology for the Pacific Northwest. The map area is located in eastern Washington and extendds across the state border into western Idaho.

The geology of the Rosalia 1:100,000 quadrangle, Washington and Idahowas compiled and published as a paper product by the WashingtonDivision of Geology and Earth Resources (Waggoner, 1990). The U.S.Geological Survey converted the geologic data to a digital geographicinformation system (GIS) format as part of a larger effort to createregional digital geology for the Pacific Northwest. The digitalgeologic map database can be queried in many ways to produce a varietyof derivative geologic maps.

This data set maps and describes the geology of the Chewelah 30' X 60'quadrangle, Washington and Idaho.
