This digital map database, compiled from new mapping by the authors, represents the general distribution of bedrock and surficial deposits of the Dixonville 7.5 minute quadrangle along the southeastern margin of the Oregon Coast Range and its tectonic boundary with Mesozoic terranes of the Klamath Mountains. Together with the accompanying text files as PDF (geol.pdf), it provides current information on the geologic structure and stratigraphy of the area covered. The database delineates map units that are identified by general age and lithology following the stratigraphic nomenclature of the U.S. Geological Survey. The scale of the source maps is 1:24,000. The spatial resolution (scale) of the database is 1:24,000...

This digital map database, largely compiled from new mapping bythe authors, represents the general distribution of bedrock andsurficial deposits of the Roseburg 30 x 60 minute quadranglealong the southeastern margin of the Oregon Coast Range and itstectonic boundary with Mesozoic terranes of the KlamathMountains. Together with the accompanying text files as PDF(rb_geol.pdf), it provides current information on the geologicstructure and stratigraphy of the area covered. The databasedelineates map units that are identified by general age andlithology following the stratigraphic nomenclature of the U.S.Geological Survey. The scale of the source maps is 1:24,000, butthe Quaternary contacts and structural data have been...

The Cascadia Tsunami Deposit Database contains data on thelocation and sedimentological properties of tsunami depositsfound along the Cascadia margin. Data have been compiled from52 studies, documenting 59 sites from northern California toVancouver Island, British Columbia that contain known orpotential tsunami deposits. Bibliographical references areprovided for all sites included in the database. Cascadiatsunami deposits are usually seen as anomalous sand layers incoastal marsh or lake sediments. The studies cited in thedatabase use numerous criteria based on sedimentarycharacteristics to distinguish tsunami deposits from sandlayers deposited by other processes, such as river floodingand storm surges. Several...
