The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) recently completed a report documenting methods for peak-flow frequency analysis following implementation of the Bulletin 17C guidelines (https://doi.org/10.3133/tm4B5). The methods provide estimates of peak-flow quantiles for 50-, 20-, 10-, 4-, 2-, 1-, 0.5-, and 0.2-percent annual exceedance probabilities (AEPs) for selected streamgages operated by the USGS and Environment Canada. In association with the report, this data release presents peak-flow frequency analyses for 148 streamgages (127 stations in Maine, 16 in New Hampshire, and 5 in New Brunswick, Canada). Included are 148 individual ".PRT" text files that contain results of the flood-frequency analyses of annual peak flows...

Note: Data release is currently under revision Understanding water use needed for irrigation is central to water-resource planning and public decision making. Meeting this basic need requires accurate estimates of water withdrawals for irrigated lands and an understanding of how factors driving water-use needs are likely to change in the future. In order to assist local decision makers in Tennessee, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Division of Water Resources (TDEC–DWR), evaluated past water-use and irrigation data to understand the effect of irrigation on groundwater resources in select counties in Tennessee. The irrigation data for...

***Data release is currently under revision*** Ongoing point-count surveys of Mauna Kea volcano on Hawaii were used to estimate abundance of Palila from 1998-2018. This data release includes the point count data used to estimate abundance and a point-process shapefile summarizing observed counts in 2017-2018.
