Wyoming Potentially Restorable Wetlands This data set contains features representing potentially restorable wetlands (PRW). Potentially restorable wetlands are defined as those areas that are not currently classified as wetland by the USFWS National Wetland Inventory, and have hydric soil characterisitcs that would support hydrophytic vegetation. Input data for generating this layer includes soils data in SSURGO format, and the current National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) wetlands data. The soils data was used to extract those areas that have a dominant drainage class attribute of poorly or very poorly drained. These soils are considered capable of supporting wetland vegetation.
