This data set contains features representing potentially restorable wetlands (PRW). Potentially restorable wetlands are defined as those areas that are not currently classified as wetland by the USFWS National Wetland Inventory, and have hydric soil characterisitcs that would support hydrophytic vegetation. Input data for generating this layer includes soils data in SSURGO format, and the current National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) wetlands data. The soils data was used to extract those areas that have a dominant drainage class attribute of poorly or very poorly drained. These soils are considered capable of supporting wetland vegetation. The PRW layer does not include existing wetlands. This data covers the entire...

Dataset Summary This data set represents greater sage-grouse Priority Areas for Conservation (PACs) to be used in work for the USFWS 2015 Status Review for the greater sage-grouse. As defined by the 2013 Greater Sage-Grouse Conservation Objectives Team (COT) Report, PACs identify important areas for the long term persistence of sage-grouse and areas to focus conservation efforts. Dataset Description This polygon data set represents all sage-grouse Priority Areas for Conservation (PACs) identified in the 2013 Greater Sage-Grouse Conservation Objectives Team (COT) Report. PACs represent areas identified as essential for the long-term conservation of the sage-grouse. The COT determined that the PACs are key for the...
