All public facing Blueprint 2.0 related data goes in here (ecosystems, indicators, Blueprint 2.0, threats, etc).
This GIS layer predicts annual increases in water yield in gallons/acre when going from a longleaf stand that hasn’t been burned for 10+ years to one with a burn within the last 6 years. It uses PRISM data for precipitation, MODIS data for potential evapotranspiration, and field data from North Florida to estimate difference in evapotranspiration based on fire return interval. It uses the equations in the WASSI ecosystem services model to estimate change in water yield (https://www.fs.usda.gov/ccrc/tools/wassi).Note: this layer covers the historic range of longleaf but does not mask out areas within that range unlikely to support longleaf (e.g., lakes, freshwater wetlands, etc.).Input data Potential evapotranspiration...

Additional Data - Species of Conservation Concern Richness This layer gives more information about the Richness of Fish of Conservation Concern draft indicator for the South Atlantic LCC. This layer has attributes for each fish species used and presence/absence for that species by HUC 8. To read more about the indicators and how they are being used, please visit the indicator page.

Geographic ranges of pine savanna and woodland types in the southeastern U.S. Divisions are based on composition and abundance of overstory trees and ground-layer grasses. Overstory tree species include longleaf pine and slash pine. Data for Figure 4 in:Peet, R.K., Platt, W.J., Costanza, J.K. 2018. The ecology and management of fire-maintained savanna ecosystems of the Southeastern U.S. Coastal Plain. Chapter in: Ecology and Recovery of Eastern Old-Growth Forests. This layer was created from the 2015 LCC Network Areas dataset for the purpose of depicting the working area of the South Atlantic LCC geographic area. This area differs from the actual geographic area in that it includes portions of the Apalachicola, Chattahoochee and Flint (ACF) River Basins. The ACF is a special integration zone between the Gulf Coastal Plains and Ozarks LCC and the South Atlantic LCC. It also highights the St. Johns basin as a special integration zone between the Peninsular Florida LCC and the South Atlantic LCC. Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCCs) are public-private partnerships composed of states, tribes, federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, universities, international...

Percent Impervious Cover These layers give more information about the impervious cover indicator for the South Atlantic LCC. These layers show the change in percent impervious cover over time and the projected change in the future. To read more about the indicators and how they are being used, please visit the indicator page. Reason for selection: Impervious cover is easy to monitor and model, widely used and understood by diverse partners, and is strongly linked to water quality, estuary condition, eutrophication, and freshwater inflow Target: Maintain percent of catchments that have 10% or less impervious cover Input Data: NHDPlus smoothed catchments (Version 01_01) Attributes for NHDPlus Catchments (Version...

Summary This layer is an input layer for one of the South Atlantic LCC indicators in the “pine woodlands, savannas, and prairies” category. To read more about the indicators and how they are being used, please visit the indicator page (http://www.southatlanticlcc.org/page/indicators). Description Bachman's and Henslow's sparrow habitat distribution models were developed by the SE GAP analysis group and the Designing Sustainable Landscapes project . For these models, the expert opinion and natural history of southeastern bird species, summarized by Hamel (1992), were matched with SE GAP land cover classifications, mapped in 2000, to determine potential presence or absence of species. Data show potential distribution...

In 2015, the network LCC areas were updated. The attached geodatabase contains several layers that have been updated to match the new LCC areas. The main working area for the South Atlantic LCC is the feature class "SALCC_ACF." It includes the SALCC area from the upldated 2015 LCC network and also includes the "special integration zone" of the ACF. The feature class "SALCC_ACF_Buffer100km" is a 100 km buffer around our main working area. When we update indicators we are striving to go out 100 km to make it easier to combine plans with our neighbors. The other feature layers include masks and subregions that have been updated to match the 2015 LCC network area and that might be helpful to you.
Description A spatial dataset of public and private lands and waters secured by a conservation situation that includes an explicit level of security from future conversion and current incompatible uses. Purpose To map permanently protected lands and knowledge of their management regime, to help guide conservation efforts and measure their success. This version is for use External to The Nature Conservancy, that is for public distribution. Credits Many contributors from each of 18 states (FL, AL, GA, SC, NC, VA, MD, WV, DE, PA, NJ, NY, RI, CT, MA, NH, VT, ME) and the District of Columbia.
