The Coast Guard Sectors are delineated in the description in the 33 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) for each Sector Boundary and Area of Responsibility where latitude and longitude coordinates, as well as county/state/national boundaries are included to describe the boundaries for each zone. In addition, whenever the Area of Responsibility boundary is over water, the EEZ shapefile is referenced for those occurrences. The Indian Lands and Native Entities in the United States dataset depicts feature location, selected demographics and other associated data for over 300 Tribal entities in the contiguous U.S. and another 300 plus Alaska Native Entities. Categories included are: American Indian Reservations, off-reservation trust lands, public domain allotments (PDAs), Alaska Native Regional Corporations and Recognized State Reservations. In addition, statistical entities such as Tribal Jurisdictional Statistical Areas (TJSA), Tribal Designated Statistical Areas (TDSA) and Alaska Native Villages Statistical Areas are included.

The USCG Units data provides identifier and location information for Coast Guard units. Identity attributes are unit name, administrative target unit code, operational facility code and modifier, and unit type. Location information is provided using latitude, longitude and address. Latitude/Longitude accuracy is identified by means of an enumerated attribute. The units are found primarily in the United States and its territories. The information was collected from the Coast Guard Shore Asset Management System and Enterprise Data Warehouse databases, along with the Standard Distribution List. Location data is maintained and verified at the Coast Guard Logistics Geospatial Integration Center.
