The National Science Foundation Ice Core Facility (NSF-ICF) - formerly the U.S. National Ice Core Laboratory (NICL) - is a facility for storing, curating, and studying meteoric ice cores recovered from glaciated regions of the world. NSF-ICF provides scientists with the capability to conduct examinations and measurements on ice cores, and it preserves the integrity of these ice cores in a long-term repository for current and future investigations.

Data resources of the USGS Chesapeake Bay Activities The Chesapeake Bay is our Nation's largest estuary, and the continued restoration and protection of this national resource is a priority for designated Federal and State agencies, and nongovernmental stakeholders through the Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP). Given the ecologic and economic importance of the Chesapeake Bay, President Obama issued an Executive order for increased Federal leadership to restore and protect the Bay and its watershed.
