The "Broad-scale assessment of biophysical features in Colorado: Terrestrial development index using 5-kilometer moving window" raster dataset quantifies levels of development (urban, agriculture, energy and mineral extraction and transmission, and roads and railroads) for all lands in Colorado. The terrestrial development index (TDI) represents the total percentage of the estimated surface disturbance footprint from development within a 5-kilometer (km) radius moving window. The TDI scores range from 0 to 100 percent. Methods are described in the companion report (see "Larger Work" section).

This geodatabase of point, line and polygon features is an effort to consolidate all of the range improvement locations on BLM-managed land in Idaho into one database. Currently, the point feature class only has range improvements from Boise District (Four Rivers, Owyhee, and Bruneau Field Offices), Twin Falls District (Shoshone, Burley and Jarbidge Field Offices) and Idaho Falls District (Salmon, Challis and Upper Snake Field Offices). Range improvements are structures intended to enhance rangeland resources, including wildlife, watershed, and livestock management. Wild insect pollination has significant positive effects on pollinator-dependent crop production. While managed honeybees are often used to provide pollination to pollinator-dependent crops, visits by wild insect pollinators have been shown to be more effective in increasing fruit set than managed pollinators, and wild insect pollination increases fruit set even when managed pollinator visitation is high (Garibaldi et al. 2013). This dataset was updated on 4 August 2016 with additional subsurface drainage permits and supersedes the previous version. Date range of permits (Start & End Dates) in this version has changed from previous version because of the following criteria. Permit applications that were marked as "approved" by the State Water Commission were retained in this dataset, all other status types (e.g., pending, denied) were removed. Dataset contains locations of drainage tile permits in North Dakota obtained from the State Water Commission as of October 2013. This dataset provides the latitude and longitude of the location given on the permit, which is not provided by the State Water Commission database. Additionally, overlap of permit polygons (if depicted in a geospatial application) is possible from two permits that share the same area. Permit applications that were marked as denied or that did not require a permit as determined by the State Water Commission were removed from this database.
