This map layer shows Omernik's Level III ecoregions, derived from a 1:7,500,000 map created by J.M. Omernik in 1987 and from refinements of Omernik's framework that were made for other projects. Ecoregions describe areas of general similarity in ecosystems and in the type, quality, and quantity of environmental resources. A website with links to the Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC) Integrated Data Management Network (IDMN) final report as well as individual LCC websites. The IDMN worked with over 20 organizations over two years to bring coherence to the LCC information management landscape. Specifically, the IDMN Network tried to address ways LCC partners implemented the basic building blocks of data management. The Blueprint 2.0 Data Gallery is a website dedicated to the final Blueprint 2.0 spatial data. This website is located on the South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative’s Conservation Planning Atlas. On this website, users can explore the final Blueprint 2.0 spatial data as well as the spatial data used to create Blueprint 2.0. This website features an interactive mapping feature so that users who do not have access to desktop GIS can explore the spatial data.

There are few resources that provide managers cross-scale information for planning climate adaptation strategies for species and taxa at risk. Appropriate allocation of resources requires an understanding of mechanisms influencing a species’ risk to global change. This map layer is an Arc/INFO grid map of North America, excluding Hawaii and including the Caribbean and most of Mexico, that portrays at 1 sq. km resolution an index of land cover diversity calculated at 729 sq. km. scale. The map layer was created by applying a spatial filter to a published map of seasonal land cover regions (Loveland et al. 1991) known as NASLCR1_2L which was obtained from the USGS EROS Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC). The spatial filter computed Simpson's (1949) index of land cover diversity within 729 sq. km. (27 x 27 pixels) windows from the proportions of different land cover types within a window. The data indicate the year in which the AHB was first observed in a county. This map layer was previously distributed as Spread of Africanized Bees in the United States. This is a revised version of the December 2004 map layer.
This website provides information about the National Stream Internet, which had two goals: 1) refine key spatial and statistical stream software and digital databases for compatibility so that a nationally consistent analytical infrastructure exists and is easy to apply; and 2) engage a grassroots user-base in application of this infrastructure so they are empowered to create new and valuable information from stream databases anywhere in the country. This website is a hub designed to connect users with software, data, and tools for creating that information. Project outputs include land cover, plant and wildlife species and community distributions, urban development, and future habitat under climate scenarios.
