Purpose

The first objective of this study was to survey the mammalian fauna of restored bottomland hardwood forest sites in northeastern Indiana and to monitor the success of those restorations in establishing native mammal communities. The second objective was to evaluate the effect of varying levels of monitoring effort on the information obtained about mammalian communities and develop efficiency recommendations for restoration practitioners.
