Summary

All data is part of a pilot study aimed to observe Delta Smelt behavior within enclosures deployed in the wild. The enclosures used were designed by The California Department of Water Resources and UC Davis as part of their ongoing Delta Smelt enclosure deployment studies. Study 1: This data includes 16 17:43 minute videos of observations of Delta Smelt behavior in a floating field enclosure and an associated .csv file with data generated from the video clips. Purpose

All observation were taken to document behavior of Delta Smelt (Hypomesus transpacificus) within the Smelt enclosure deployed by the California Department of Water Resources. The enclosures used were designed by The California Department of Water Resources and UC Davis as part of their ongoing Delta Smelt enclosure deployment studies. Observations were completed to determine possible disturbances and their impact of the Delta Smelt. This was done to inform decisions regarding future enclosure deployments as well as possible future wild population supplementation utilizes captive raised fish.
