The selected landscape model (equivalent by ICOMP) for MacGillivray’s Warbler adult captures (Table 1) suggests that adults were increasingly more commonly captured in low- to mid-elevation (median ~1,100m) landscapes with extensive coniferous forest (40-100%) in the 5km context, and a mean shrubland cover of 8% (N = 84, R2 = 0.21, P<0.0005) locally (990m). MacGillivray's Warbler - VizBand/Land AIC Model Selection Created: 17-May-2011
MacGillivray's Warbler annual capture rate of adult (ADULT) individuals (log transformed) ranged between +0.074 and +3.149 with a mean value of +1.611 and a median value of +1.750. ________________________________________
Model 1 (3 parameters)
MacGillivray's Warbler annual capture rate of adult (ADULT) individuals (log transformed) was a function of:
a) NLCD06CO5KP (+0.01344) - percent coniferous forest cover, 990m-resolution in a landscape context of 5km radius, ranged between +40.128 and +104.289 (95% CL) with a mean value of +72.208 and a median value of +76.580,
b) GTOPO30_AL (+0.04323) - elevation (m), ranged between +4.994 and +8.347 (95% CL) with a mean value of +6.671 and a median value of +7.003,
c) NLCD06SH33P (+0.18160) - percent shrubland cover, 990m-resolution (33x aggregation of 30m-resolution), ranged between -0.180 and +4.258 (95% CL) with a mean value of +2.039 and a median value of +2.169. This model included data from 86 stations, explained 21 percent of the variation, and was statistically significant at a level of P<0.00036.
