These data represent the extent of urbanization (for the year indicated) predicted by the model SLEUTH, developed by Dr. Keith C. Clarke, at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Department of Geography and modified by David I. Donato of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Eastern Geographic Science Center (EGSC). Further model modification and implementation was performed at the Biodiversity and Spatial Information Center at North Carolina State University

Freshwater Marsh Ecosystem Integrity - Blueprint 2.0 This layer is part of an older version of the Blueprint. This data represents the Blueprint 2.0 ecosystem integrity scores for the freshwater marsh ecosystem within the South Atlantic LCC geography. To read more about the indicators, please visit the indicator page. Input Data and Mapping Steps Indicators (200 m resolution) were spatially modeled, tested, reviewed, and used as inputs to derive high integrity areas. Please see the indicator folder in the Blueprint 2.0 data gallery for more information about indicator spatial data. The integrity scores for this system are based on indicators within the freshwater marsh and landscapes ecosystem. These indicators...

Forested Wetland Extent This layer is an older version of one of the South Atlantic LCC indicators in the forested wetland ecosystem. It captures the overall acres of forested wetlands present in the South Atlantic geography. This indicator was most recently updated in Blueprint 2.2. The updated version uses an improved resampling method and reflects changes in how extent indicators and ecosystem maps are envisioned. Reason for Selection Overall acreage provides an indicator of whether forested wetlands being inundated by sea level rise are being replaced or restored somewhere else. It is also well monitored and resonates with a diversity of audiences. Input Data, Mapping Steps, and Known Issues -- This indicator...

Forested Wetland Amphibians This layer is an older version of one of the South Atlantic LCC indicators in the forested wetland ecosystem. It captures Priority Reptile and Amphibian Conservation Areas within forested wetlands. This indicator was updated in Blueprint 2.1 to extend it to new areas of the forested wetland ecosystem map. Reason for Selection Amphibians provide an indicator of the condition and arrangement of embedded isolated wetlands. Input Data South Atlantic LCC Priority Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Areas (PARCAs) served as input data for this indicator. PARCAs are a nonregulatory designation whose purpose is to raise public awareness and spark voluntary action by landowners and conservation...

Draft Pine & Prairie Ecosystem Integrity - Blueprint 2.2 This data represents the Blueprint 2.2 ecosystem integrity scores for the pine and prairie ecosystem within the South Atlantic LCC geography. To read more about the indicators, please visit the indicator page. Input Data and Mapping Steps Indicators (200 m resolution) were spatially modeled, tested, reviewed, and used as inputs to derive high integrity areas. Please see the Blueprint 2.2 data gallery for more information about indicator spatial data. The integrity scores for this system are based on the pine and prairie indicators, freshwater aquatic indicators, landscapes indicators, and waterscapes indicators. These indicators served as inputs into...
